Tanner Voice Recital

Belton, Texas - The Conservatory of Music at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor presents Jessica Tanner, mezzo-soprano, in recital on Saturday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. in Hughes Recital Hall in Presser Hall on campus. Ms. Tanner will be accompanied by pianist Nelda Milligan.

Ms. Tanner is the daughter of Drs. Bill and Paula Tanner of Belton and is a graduating senior at Belton High School. A current member of the Belton Madrigals, Tanner has been very active in musicals and play productions while at BHS. She was recently honored as the first place winner of the Temple Music Club Scholarship competition held in April. After graduating from BHS, Ms. Tanner will attend Southwestern University in Georgetown.

The recital will feature songs by Italian composers of the Baroque era, English and American composers of the twentieth century and musical theatre songs. Ms. Tanner is the voice student of Lisa Clement, Associate Professor of Music at UMHB.
