BB holds at #23 in national poll

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team increased its point total, but the Cru did not climb in position in this week's NCBWA/D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll. UMHB totaled 122 points this week to hold at 23rd in the country this week. The Cru is just one point behind #22 Wheaton (MA)'s 123 points. Chapman is first with 15 first-place votes and 593 total points. UMHB's American Southwest Conference rival U.T.-Tyler moved up to #5 in the country with one first-place vote and 494 total points. University of the Ozarks also joined the Top 25 this week, entering the poll at #24 with 78 total points. U.T.-Dallas and Hardin-Simmons are also receiving votes in this week's poll to give the ASC five teams mentioned in the poll.
The UMHB baseball team is currently 14-3 overall and 3-0 in ASC play on the season following a three-game sweep of Sul Ross State last weekend. The Cru will now hit the road for a three-game ASC West Division series at Hardin-Simmons this weekend. The two teams will open the series with a 7:00 PM single game on Friday night before closing out the series with a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
The NCBWA/D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll is voted on by a panel of 25 college baseball writers, sports information directors and other media members from across the country.
