BB climbs to 18th in national poll

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor baseball team achieved its highest national ranking since moving to NCAA Division III with the Cru continuing its climb in the national polls and moving up to #18 in the country in this week's NCBWA/ D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll. UMHB totaled 154 points to climb two spots from last week's #20 ranking. Chapman is first with 19 first-place votes and 615 total points. UMHB's American Southwest Conference rival U.T.-Tyler is ranked 5th in the country with one first-place vote and 488 total points. The University of the Ozarks dropped two spots and now sits one spot behind the Cru in #19 nationally to give the ASC three teams in this week's poll.
The UMHB baseball team is currently 18-5 overall on the season and leads the ASC West Division with a 7-2 mark. The Cru will return to action with a 2:00 PM home non-conference game against Southwestern Assemblies of God University this afternoon.
The NCBWA/D3baseball.com Top 25 Poll is voted on by a panel of 25 college baseball writers, sports information directors and other media members from across the country.
