MS falls to U.T.-Dallas 1-0

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team kept it close the entire match, but could not overcome a second-half goal as the Cru dropped a 1-0 decision to U.T.-Dallas Saturday afternoon in Belton. The loss drops the UMHB men to 7-6-1 overall and 6-2-1 in American Southwest Conference play. The Comets improve to 9-3-2 overall and 6-1-2 in the ASC with the victory.
The two teams played a scoreless first half, taking six shots apiece. UTD broke the scoreless tie when Zac Lindley connected on an unassisted goal at the 63:00 mark of the match. Jake Brandon made it stand up with five saves in goal for the Comets. Jude Austin posted four saves in goal for the Cru.
The UMHB men will hit the road for a pair of ASC matches next week. The Cru will take on Louisiana College next Thursday night in Pineville, Louisiana before facing Mississippi College Saturday afternoon in Clinton, Mississippi
