TEN teams place three on Academic All-Conference Team

Belton, TX- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams combined to place three players on the American Southwest Conference Spring All-Conference Team, released today. To be eligible for the ASC Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a sophomore, junior or senior and have attended the school for a full year. The student-athlete must also earn a letter and maintain at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.

Colby Nichols is a junior Political Science major from Centerville High School. Landon Slaughter is a sophomore Management major from Huntsville High School. Laina White is a senior Elementary Education major from Lorena High School. Nichols is a two-time ASC Academic All-Conference selection. This is the first ASC Academic All-Conference honor for Slaughter and White.

The UMHB men's tennis team finished 6-5 overall and 5-2 in ASC play this spring. The Cru advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament for the second straight year. The UMHB women's tennis team finished 4-7 overall and 4-3 in ASC West Division play.
