WBB places three on All-West Division Team; Thompson named Freshman of the Year

ASC West Division Freshman of the Year - Landie Thompson
Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's basketball team placed three players on the American Southwest Conference All-West Division Team released today. Freshman Landie Thompson was also voted ASC West Division Freshman of the Year.
Thompson, a freshman center from Lake Travis High School, was named ASC West Division Freshman of the Year, All-West Division First Team and also earned a spot on the ASC West Division All-Freshman Team. Thompson led UMHB in scoring and rebounding at 15.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. She also shot a team-best 53 per cent, blocked 32 shots and grabbed 30 steals.
Guard Blair Heitmiller was named Honorable Mention All-West Division. Heitmiller, a senior from Belton High School, led the Cru with 32 three-pointers and 40 steals. She averaged 6.5 points and 3.1 rebounds per game and added 45 assists.
Forward Kallie White was also voted Honorable Mention All-West Division. White, a sophomore from Llano High School, averaged 6.4 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season. She added 34 assists and 30 steals on the year.
This is Heitmiller's fourth ASC All-West Division selection. White was also voted West Division Co-Freshman of the Year last season and this is the first All-Division honor for Thompson.
The Cru women finished 15-12 overall and went 12-9 in ASC play. The UMHB women advanced to the ASC Tournament semifinals before falling to McMurry University.
