WG finishes 2nd at Southwestern tri-match

Georgetown, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team finished second at the Southwestern University Tri-Meet Saturday afternoon in Round Rock. The Cru women fired a 343 team total to finish behind host Southwestern University's 317 team score. Trinity University fired a 370 team total to finish third. The match was played on a par-72, 5,850-yard layout at Tera Vista Golf Course in Round Rock.

Individually for UMHB, Christi Williams and Kathryne Lozano both shot 84's. Courtney Nelson posted an 85, Taylour Shaw carded a 90 and Allison Williams recorded a 91 for the Cru women. Southwestern's Delilah Dominguez won the individual title after shooting 75.

The UMHB women will now return to action with a trip to the LeTourneau University Spring Invitational. That tournament will be played Monday and Tuesday at Pinecrest Country Club in Longview.
