WS's Lauren Thorne earns ASC Player of the Week honors

 MF Lauren Thorne - ASC Offensive Player of the Week

Belton, TX - University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer player Lauren Thorne has been named American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 30th. Thorne, a junior midfielder from Round Rock High School, scored two goals and added two assists during the week for six total points. She assisted on the game-winning goal in UMHB's 2-1 win over LeTourneau last Friday. Thorne then added two goals, including the game-winner, and an assist in the Lady Cru's 3-0 win over ETBU on Saturday.

The UMHB women's soccer team is currently 4-5 overall and 4-1 in American Southwest Conference play on the season. The Lady Cru will return to action with road matches at U.T.-Tyler on Thursday night and at Concordia Texas on Saturday this week.
