WS falls to U.T.-Dallas 2-0

Belton, TX- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team could not overcome a pair of second-half goals as the Lady Cru dropped a 2-0 decision to U.T.-Dallas Saturday afternoon in Belton. The loss drops the UMHB women to 6-7 overall and 6-3 in American Southwest Conference play. The Comets improve to 8-4-3 overall and 7-1-1 in the ASC with the victory.
The two teams were scoreless through the first half before U.T.-Dallas opened the scoring with Kristina Kinner's unassisted goal 51:30 into the match. The Comets added an insurance goal when Mallorie Lamping converted a penalty kick at the 71:09 mark. Ally Sargeant finished with six saves in goal for UMHB. Andrea Jones posted three saves for the Lady Comets to record the shutout.
The UMHB women will hit the road for a pair of ASC matches next week. The Lady Cru will take on Louisiana College next Thursday night in Pineville before facing Mississippi College next Saturday in Clinton, Mississippi.
