WS falls to Mississippi College 3-0

Clinton, MS - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's soccer team could not overcome an early deficit as the Lady Cru fell to Mississippi College 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Clinton, Mississippi. The loss drops the UMHB women to 7-8 overall and 7-4 in American Southwest Conference play. The Lady Choctaws improve to 10-5 overall and 8-3 in the ASC with the victory.
MC took a 1-0 lead when Kimberly Kaim scored off an assist from Carrie Kirk 9:14 into the match. The Choctaws added a pair of insurance goals in the second half, one from Kristy Morse and one from Kellie Kirby to provide the final margin. Ally Sargeant posted eight saves in goal for the UMHB women as MC out shot the Lady Cru 22-5 in the match.
The UMHB women will now return home to close out the regular season with a pair of ASC matches. The Lady Cru will host McMurry University for a 1:00 PM start on Friday afternoon before welcoming Hardin-Simmons University to the Cru Sports Plex for a 1:00 PM start on Saturday. The UMHB women can clinch an ASC Championship Tournament berth with a win, a tie or a Louisiana College loss.
