TEN teams split with Southwestern

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams split dual matches with Southwestern University Friday afternoon in Belton. The UMHB men grabbed a 7-2 win over the Pirates to improve to 5-4 on the season. The Lady Cru fell 7-2 to drop to 3-7 on the year.

The two teams will close out the regular season with an American Southwest Conference West Division dual match at Texas Lutheran University tomorrow morning at 11:00 AM. The UMHB men can clinch an ASC Championship Tournament berth and the #2 seed from the West with a victory over the Bulldogs. A loss would eliminate the Cru from the hunt for the tournament. The UMHB women need a win and a Sul Ross State victory over McMurry University to finish in a three-way tie for third place in the ASC West. A tiebreaker would then be used to determine the #3 seed from the West for the ASC Women's Tennis Tournament.
