TEN's Elise Kunze named ASC Player of the Week

 Elise Kunze - ASC West Division Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Belton, TX - University of Mary Hardin-Baylor tennis player Elise Kunze has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending April 8th. Kunze, a freshman from Georgetown High School, went 2-0 in singles play last week and posted a 1-1 record in doubles competition. She posted a three-set victory at #5 singles for UMHB's only singles win in a loss to Southwestern University and then won at #4 singles and #2 doubles in the Cru women's victory over Texas Lutheran University to close out the week. That win also helped the UMHB women clinch a berth in the ASC Championship Tournament.

The UMHB women are 6-2 overall and 5-0 in ASC West Division play this spring. The Cru women will travel to Abilene this weekend to close out the regular season with matches at Hardin-Simmons and McMurry on Friday and Saturday.
