VB places three on ASC All-Division Team

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team placed three players on the American Southwest Conference All-East Division Team released today. The Cru had one First Team selection and a pair of Second Team honorees.
Melanie Daniell represented the Cru on the ASC All-East Division First Team. Daniell, a freshman outside hitter from Florence High School, posted 242 kills and a hitting percentage of .202 on the season. She added 114 total blocks, 105 digs and led the team with 30 service aces.
Stephanie Little and Erin Maenius were both voted to the ASC All-East Division Second Team. Little, a senior setter from Waxahachie High School, led the team with 524 assists and was second on the team with 314 digs. Little added 53 kills, 23 service aces, four total blocks and posted a team-best hitting percentage of .296. Maenius, a freshman libero from San Antonio MacArthur High School, recorded a team-best 584 digs and she added 10 kills and eight service aces on the year. This is the third All-Division honor for Little in her career and the first All-Division selection for Daniell and Maenius.
The Cru finished the 2007 season with a 13-19 overall record and went 7-10 in ASC play. UMHB advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament before falling to eventual conference champion Texas Lutheran University in a first-round match. The Cru qualified for the ASC Championship Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history.
