WBB wins ASC SAAC Team Sportsmanship Award

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's basketball team is the winner of the American Southwest Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Women's Basketball Team Sportsmanship Award. The Cru women are the first UMHB athletic program to win an ASC SAAC Sportsmanship Award. The UMHB women are the West Division winner with LeTourneau University's women claiming the ASC East Division honor. Howard Payne and Louisiana College took the men's basketball honors.

The ASC SAAC Team Sportsmanship Awards are in their first academic year. The awards honor the member institutions in each ASC championship sport that best display positive qualities of sportsmanship and fair play from its student-athletes, coaches and fans throughout the season. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committees from the conference's 15 member institutions vote on the recipients.
