WTEN falls in ASC Tournament semifinals

Tyler, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's tennis team kept it close through doubles, but could not hold on as the Cru women saw their season come to an end with a loss to U.T-Tyler in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament semifinals Saturday afternoon in Tyler. The Cru women fell 5-1 and ended the season with an 8-4 record. U.T.-Tyler, ranked 28th in the nation, improves to 16-3 with the victory and the Patriots will now advance to tomorrow's championship match to face Hardin-Simmons University.
UMHB's lone victory came with Rebecca Everett and Heather Maust's 8-6 win at #3 doubles. U.T.-Tyler picked up wins at #1 and #2 doubles and won singles matches at #2, #3 and #6 to claim the victory.
