TEN teams place five on ASC All-West Division Teams

Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's and women's tennis teams combined to place five players on the American Southwest Conference All-Conference and All-West Division Teams today. The UMHB women had four players selected to the All-Conference and All-Division Teams. The Cru men had one player chosen.
On the women's side, Rebecca Everett was named ASC All-Conference and was also voted to the All-West Division First Team. Everett, a freshman from Breckenridge High School, went 4-6 in singles play and posted a 7-3 record in doubles this spring.
Amber Long and Whitney Wolz were both named to the All-West Division Second Team. Long, a sophomore from Copperas Cove High School, went 5-5 in singles play this spring and posted a 7-5 doubles mark. Wolz, a sophomore from Caldwell High School, was 8-2 in singles and 7-5 in doubles play on the spring.
Christi Voss, a freshman from Jarrell, was named Honorable Mention All-West Division. Voss recorded a 9-3 singles record on the spring and went 7-4 in doubles play.
Eric Williams represented the UMHB men on the All-West Division Team. Williams, a junior from Rosenberg and a transfer from Temple College, was voted to the All-Division Second Team. Williams went 5-5 in dual match singles play this spring and posted a 3-7 record in doubles play.
The Cru women went 8-4 overall and 6-1 in ASC West Division play this spring. The UMHB women finished second in the ASC West and advanced to the ASC Championship Tournament semifinals before falling to eventual conference champion U.T.-Tyler. The UMHB men finished the spring with a 2-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in ASC West Division play.
