SB's Daphne Kahlig named West Division Pitcher of the Week

 Daphne Kahlig - ASC West Division Pitcher of the Week

Belton, TX - University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball player Daphne Kahlig has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 27th. Kahlig, a senior pitcher from Rosebud-Lott High School, tossed a pair of shutouts in UMHB's series sweep of Hardin-Simmons last weekend. Kahlig allowed just five hits in 11 innings and struck out 10 batters. She walked just three batters and held the Cowgirls to a .135 team batting average in her two starts.

The Cru softball team is 31-5 overall and went 24-0 in ASC West Division play. UMHB is the first ASC team to post a 24-0 record in divisional play. The Cru will return to action with a non-conference doubleheader at Houston-Victoria tomorrow. UMHB will then be the West Division #1 seed in the ASC Championship Tournament this weekend.
