Belton, TX - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team swept the American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week honors for the week ending April 20th. The Cru won both Pitcher and Hitter of the Week honors after sweeping Texas Lutheran University in a four-game series and clinching a second straight ASC West Division title.

Katina Penter was named ASC West Division Hitter of the Week. Penter, a senior shortstop from Bishop High School, batted .556 for the week as she went 5-9 at the plate. She drove in two runs, scored two more and had two doubles among her five hits.

Kelsey Greeson was voted ASC West Division Pitcher of the Week. Greeson, a sophomore pitcher/infielder from Belton High School, went 2-0 in the circle for the Cru. She allowed just four hits in 12 innings of work and struck out 19 batters. Greeson allowed just one run over her two appearances to claim West Division Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season.

The Cru is currently 27-5 overall and 20-0 in ASC West Division play. UMHB will travel to Abilene this weekend for a four-game series at Hardin-Simmons University.
