VB falls to U.T.-Dallas in three games

Richardson, TX- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team could not overcome an early deficit and the Cru lost a three-game decision to U.T.-Dallas Tuesday night in Richardson. UMHB fell 30-28, 30-20, 30-17 to drop to 8-10 overall and 5-5 in American Southwest Conference play. U.T.-Dallas improves to 14-4 overall and 8-2 in the ASC on the season with the victory.

Leigh Ann Hall led UMHB with six kills and Melanie Daniell and Alexandra Johansson-Jones added five kills apiece. Erin Maenius had a team-high 20 digs and Stephanie Little added 13 assists and 10 digs for the Cru. Stephanie Weller posted a team-high 16 kills for the Comets, who hit .232 as a team compared to .078 for UMHB. Kathryn Adams recorded 26 digs and Kaley Medsger chipped in with 24 assists.

The UMHB volleyball team will now have nine days off before returning to action. The Cru will host U.T.-Tyler for a 7:00 PM start at the Mayborn Campus Center on Thursday, October 11th.
