VB falls to Southwestern University

Georgetown, TX- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team could not claw its way out of an early hole and the Cru fell to Southwestern University in three games Wednesday night in Georgetown. UMHB closes out the regular season with a 13-18 record following the loss. The Pirates improve to 26-10 on the year with the victory.

The Cru fell 30-12, 30-16, 30-22 in the regular season finale. Melanie Daniell posted a team-high six kills and Jade Norwid added five more. Stephanie Little had nine assists and Erin Davis recorded five assists, six digs and a service ace. Erin Maenius had a team-high eight digs in the loss.

UMHB will now advance to this weekend's American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament in Richardson. The Cru will open with a 2:30 PM first-round match against Texas Lutheran University. UMHB is in the ASC Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in the program's history.
