DEAN'S WELCOME

Derek H. Davis, J.D., Ph.D. 

Welcome to the website for the College of Humanities of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. The College of Humanities is newly formed from the division of the College of Sciences & Humanities. The college contains the Department of Communications and Media Studies, the Department of English, the Department of History and Political Science, and the Department of Modern Foreign Languages. It is the responsibility and privilege of the faculty of this college to teach UMHB students core courses such as Composition & Rhetoric, foreign languages (American Sign Language, French, German, & Spanish), History/Political Science, and Speech. The college offers both Bachelors of Arts and Bachelors of Science degrees. A total of eight different majors are offered in the college.
