Housing Options |  Dining Options

The University of Mary Hardin Baylor welcomes the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association to the National Championship June 11-15, 2007.  UMHB is pleased to be able to provide housing and meals for those participants and families who choose to stay on the UMHB campus.  The following are brief descriptions of the housing options available, and information about campus dining options.  Please note that we cannot accommodate requests for specific dormitories.  The University will assign housing on a first-come, first-served basis, taking into considerations size of group, ages, and other factors.    

**You must provide your own sheets, towels, blankets, and pillows.  UMHB cannot provide these items.**

BURT HALL

Located just off the central quad area, Burt is convenient to Hardy Dining Hall and Walton Chapel and is in easy walking distance to all academic buildings on campus.  Double-occupancy two-room suites have a walk-in closet and a vanity area within each room.  Each suite has one shared shower area.  While most of the rooms in Burt are double occupancy, there are a small number of private rooms in the building. 

Room Details:

  • Approximately 15' x 14' (210 sq.ft.)

  • Each room has one walk-in closet

  • Rooms are suite style and include a vanity/sink area within the room, two twin beds with 75" mattresses, two desks with chairs, and two chests of drawers.

  • The in-suite bathroom comes with a shower  and is shared with suite-mates.

 REMSCHEL HALL

Remschel is centrally located on the quad, putting it within easy walking distance to the dining hall, Crusader Cafe located in Mabee Student Center, Mayborn Campus Center, and all academic buildings.  Each room is double occupancy and has a private bathroom. 

Room Details:

  • Approximately 13' x 21' (273 sq. ft.)

  • Two twin beds with standard 75" mattresses, two desks with chairs, two chests of drawers, and two closets.

  • The private bath is approximately 7' x 6' and has a shower and large vanity area. 

MCLANE HALL

Located on the northwest corner of campus, McLane Hall sits close to Hardy Dining Hall and Mayborn Campus Center.  It is within easy walking distance to all academic buildings.  Double occupancy rooms have a  private bathroom, two closets, and individual thermostat control settings.

Room Details:

  • Approximately 15' x 14' (210 sq. ft)

  • Two twin beds with 80" mattresses, two desks with chairs, and two chests of drawers. 

  • The private bath is approximately 8' x 8' and has a shower and large vanity area. 

DINING SERVICES

DINING HALL AT HARDY HALL 

Open:  7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.        11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.        5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The dining hall provides a variety of fresh food designed to satisfy everyone's appetite, and you can enjoy "all you care to eat". Meals are $5.50 per person and can be purchased on the registration form.  You do not have to stay in on-campus housing to eat at the dining hall. 

CRUSADER CAFE

Open:  8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Crusader Cafe is a proven hit on UMHB's campus.  The Cafe provides patrons with an array of choices including "made to order" sandwiches from our grill and Tex-Mex cuisine at our Tierra de Sol counter.  The cafe also offers both fountain and bottled beverages, grab-n-go salads and sandwiches, and other snacks.  The Cafe accepts cash and credit cards.  Meal tickets purchased through the on-line registration form cannot be used in the Crusader Cafe.
