Faculty Promotions

Belton, Texas -Eight faculty were approved for promotion during the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor board of trustees regular meeting in May.

The faculty approved to receive promotions were Dr. Carolyn Allemand, professor of education; Dr. Sarah Brown, professor of English; Dr. Lon Chaffin, professor of music; Dr. David Chrisman, professor of history; Dr. Steve Crawford, professor of music; Helen Kwiatkowski, professor of art; Kathy Owens, assistant professor of communications; and Dr. Jamey Plunk, professor of exercise and sports science.

The following individuals were approved as new faculty effective fall 2009: Christie Bledsoe, instructor of Education; Dr. Nancy Bonner, assistant professor of business and information systems; Dr. Brian Brabham, assistant professor of exercise and sports science; Kirk Fischer, instructor of accounting/economics/finance; Dr. Renate Hood, associate professor of Christian Studies; Dr. Jessica Hooten, assistant professor of English; Dr. Claire Phelan, assistant professor of history; and Dr. Robert Rose, professor, Ed.D. Program.
