UMHB Recognized for Yearbook Excellence by Publisher

Belton, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 2008 yearbook staff led by editor Jennifer Meers, has been recognized by Taylor Publishing with an Award of Excellence for their outstanding accomplishment and contribution to scholastic journalism. The UMHB yearbook is a theme featured in the 2009 edition of Yearbook Yearbook. Judges selected this yearbook among the best of the best for 2008.
"The 2008 Yearbook Yearbook marked the 23rd edition. It's the biggest - more schools are featured than ever before. Taylor staffs get more competitive each year and are doing an outstanding job creating great, student-oriented yearbooks," Yearbook Yearbook editor Marilyn Scoggins said.
Yearbooks published by Taylor for the 2008 school year were evaluated in one of more of the following areas: cover design, theme development, layout design and photo content. Taylor Publishing recognizes only the top five percent of yearbook staffs for outstanding yearbook achievement.
"Having the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor featured in Yearbook Yearbook is an award with rewards," education specialist Judi Coolidge said. "UMHB's outstanding work offers inspiration to thousands of other students who aspire to this level of excellence."
