Belton, Texas - The Sigma Pi Chemistry Club Meeting at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be held on Monday, October 26 in Wells Nursing & Science Hall, Room 341 at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Michael Brennan from the Scott & White Orthopedic Surgery Department will be the guest speaker.
Getting into medical school is a challenging goal to achieve. This presentation will shed some light on some medical school statistics and also give some insightful information on improving your chances of getting accepted into medical school. Dr. Brennan will also be sharing his not so straight and smooth road to medical school and how he finally was accepted.
Dr. Brennan grew up in Temple and graduated from Temple High School in 1991 and UMHB in 1995. He attended UT Houston Medical School from 1998 - 2002. His residency training was from 2002-2007 in orthopedic surgery at Scott & White Hospital. Dr. Brennan did an additional year of subspeciality training in orthopedic trauma at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He is now 1 of 2 full time orthopedic traumatologists at Scott & White. He has been married for 12 years and has two children, ages 7 and 4.
