Fall Concert Scheduled for Bell Civic Chorale

Belton, Texas - The Bell Civic Chorale's Fall Concert is scheduled for Monday, November 9, at 7:30 pm. The concert will take place in the sanctuary of Grace Presbyterian Church of Temple.
The Chorale will perform The King of Love My Shephard Is by Laura and Russell Farnell, Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor based on music by Irving Berlin and arrange by Roy Ringwald, a setting by John Cater of Shall We Gather at the River, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God arranged by Mark Hayes, a setting of Assurance by John Ness Beck, O Come, Let Us Sing Unto The Lord by Eleanor Daley, and the Magnificat in G by Johann Pachelbel. The concert is open and free to the general public.
The Chorale presented its first concert in the fall of 2002. The Chorale membership is open to anyone who wants to learn and perform choral masterpieces and make new friends through the common interest of music. The Bell Civic Chorale is dedicated to serving the community through "powerful performances of great choral music." The Chorale members come from throughout the Central Texas area.
The Bell Civic Chorale is one of the many programs run through the UMHB Conservatory of Music. The Bell Civic Chorale meets on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in Manning Chapel on the UMHB Campus. There is a membership fee of $50.00 per semester. All music will be provided unless Chorale members wish to purchase their own copies. No audition or transcripts are required.
