Mayors' Forum: Current Developments in Temple and Belton

Belton, Texas - The College of Humanities at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will present a one-hour program featuring Mayors Bill Jones III of Temple and Jim Covington of Belton. The program will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, in Brindley Auditorium in the York Science Center on the UMHB campus.

The presentation is titled "Mayors' Forum: Current Developments in Temple and Belton."

Jones has served as Temple's mayor since May, 2002. He is the CEO of Materials Transportation Company (MTC) and the owner of BJ3 Industries, Inc., a holding company for several businesses in the Temple area.

Covington, now in his second term as mayor of Belton, served for twelve years prior to that on the Belton city council. His professional life includes 31 years in the banking industry. The program is free and open to the public.
