Pi Gamma Mu Scholarship Winner

Belton, Texas -Tori Thompson, senior social work major at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, was one of the ten annual Pi Gamma Mu scholarship winners.

The Pi Gamma Mu scholarships are established to help members of the International Honor Society for the Social Sciences to fund their graduate work.

This is only the second time that a UMHB student has won one of these awards.

Thompson is receiving this very competitive prize based on her educational achievements, the recommendations of those with whom she has worked, her record of activities since starting her undergraduate career and a personal essay that discusses the rational for her graduate studies and how she plans to apply that knowledge in the future. She will be using the funds to help to finance her graduate studies.
