Middle School Band Camp

Belton, Texas -The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Conservatory will hold a Band Camp for Middle School Students Monday - Wednesday, June 16-18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon each day.

Band Camp is open to students who have completed grades 6-8 and will include sectionals, sight-reading, audition preparation, instrumental techniques and ensemble training. Students will be directed by UMHB faculty, music students, and area directors.

The three-day camp will be held on the UMHB campus in Presser Hall at the corner of 9th and King Streets. The cost is $75 per camper.

Students may also sign up for one or two half hour private lessons on their instrument for an additional $12 per lesson. Private lessons will be given between 1:30 and 5:00 on Monday and Wednesday.

Campers also have the option of going to Summer Fun, the water park in Belton, on Tuesday afternoon, for an additional $10.

A concert by the students will be held at the conclusion of the camps at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Parents, family and friends are invited to attend this half hour concert to hear what the students learned at camp.
