MS falls to U.T.-Dallas 2-0

Richardson, TX- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team could not overcome a first-half deficit and the Cru fell to U.T.-Dallas 2-0 Thursday night in Richardson. The UMHB men fall to 3-4-2 overall and 2-3-2 in American Southwest Conference play with the loss. The Comets improve to 6-3-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the ASC with the victory.
The Comets grabbed a 1-0 lead when Jess Mitchell converted a penalty kick 6:38 into the match. It would stay 1-0 into the second half before UTD added an insurance goal from Stephen Ambrose off an assist from Mitchell at the 67:44 mark. Mark Miller finished with eight saves in goal for the Cru. Jake Brandon posted five saves for the Comets in the shutout. UTD out shot the Cru 18-11 in the victory.
The Cru will continue its road trip with another ASC showdown Saturday afternoon. The UMHB men will take on University of the Ozarks in a 3:00 PM start in Clarksville, Arkansas.
