Sanitizers fight soap in cleanup
After using the restroom in a public place or even a personal bathroom, it is a common practice for most people to wash their hands.
But the question that arises for many hand washers is whether to use orange-colored liquid soap or the fast-acting hand sanitizer.

Vice president chosen as most caring
By Laura Beth Gebhardt
The years spent receiving one’s higher education is often a time of growth, new experiences and self development.
Attending a small university such as UMHB allows staff and faculty to be more available to students, which helps ease them into the college life.
The 15:1 ratio at UMHB has enabled the staff and professors to become more than just workers and educators, but role models and counselors.
For the past ten years the university’s Staff Council has been awarding an employee with the title of Caring Crusader.
“These are people who go above and beyond the job description to make the workplace at UMHB a better place,” resident director Tim Kemp said, “people who go the extra mile to be pleasant and helpful to those around them.”
Every three months someone different is chosen by the number of nominations they receive.
