Belton is located in the heart of Central Texas just 60 miles north of Austin and 40 miles south of Waco. The Belton area has two lakes just a ten-minute drive from the interstate. Within a 180 mile radius of Belton is a market of more than 9.4 million people including the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Austin, San Antonio, and much of Houston. The region encompasses 55 percent of Texas. For recreation, Belton's bodies of water include Belton Lake a fisherman's and boater's haven and Stillhouse Hollow Lake which is rated one of the top lakes in Texas for water quality.
