Cost to Attend

UMHB is one of the most affordable private universities in the U.S. And you’ll be happy to know that the tuition for International students is the same as that for U.S. citizens. Through scholarships, grants, loans, and on-campus employment, we help more than 85% of our students finance their education. Numerous academic scholarships are awarded each year, as well as leadership, music and other departmental scholarships.

Average cost is $9,876 per semester or $19,752 per year for a typical resident undergraduate. Resident student cost may vary according to room. Commuter cost is $7,860 per semester or $15,720 per year. Averages are based on 15 semester hours, room and board, fees, but do not include books, lab fees or personal expenses. Tuition, fees, room and board are payable each semester before the beginning of classes.

If you need financial assistance, the most important thing to remember is to apply early. Institutional scholarships and college employment programs are limited resources the university provides to help reduce the student loan portion of your assistance package. To ensure you receive the most favorable aid package, complete and return your financial aid application by March 1.
