Requirements:
Doctorate in music is required; ABD will be considered; a completed doctoral degree is required for tenure track, evidence of successful college-level conducting and teaching experience required. Must be an active, committed Christian.
Responsibilities:
Director's Duties : Responsible for all aspects of the Choral Program including:
- Overseeing all choral ensembles
- Directing Concert Choir and another ensemble
- Teaching Choral Conducting
- Teaching Choral Literature
- Assisting with the supervison of Choral Student Teachers
- Being an active recruiter for the Music Department which includes: touring with the choral ensembles, conducting clinics, developing relationships with directors and students, maintaining appropriate community involvement and public relations
- Other departmental duties as assigned
Faculty Responsibilities:
Teaching excellence: mentoring/advising students; curriculum development; research; active involvement in professional organizations; service to the department, college, university, and the community.
