Requirements:

A doctoral degree is required; doctorate in nursing preferred; ABD considered; a completed doctoral degree is required for tenure track; teaching experience strongly preferred; excellent communication skills, a commitment to scholarly research and enhancing the quality of nursing education required. Successful applicant must be an active, committed Christian.

Responsibilities:
This is a tenure-track graduate nursing faculty position in our newly established Master's of Science in Nursing Program with a focus on nursing education, beginning August 2009. The rank of this position is open. The new faculty will teach traditional MSN classes with a focus on nursing education including such courses as: curriculum development, role of the nurse educator, health policy, and various student-identified preceptored clinical experiences. Full-time nursing faculty typically teach the equivalent of 12 credit hours per semester.
Faculty Responsibilities: teaching excellence; mentoring/advising students; curriculum development; research; active involvement in professional organizations; service to the department, college, university, and the community.
