Academic Scholarships

President's Scholarship - $48,000

$12,000 per year.  Awarded to entering first-time freshmen students with a minimum ACT composite score of 31 or a minimum SAT score of 1380 (critical reading + math) or a National Merit Scholarship Finalist.  Renewable for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above.  Recipients must live on campus unless married or single with dependents.

Valedictorian & Salutatorian Scholarship - $48,000

$12,000 per year. Awarded to entering first-time freshmen high school valedictorians and salutatorians with a minimum ACT composite score of 25 or a minimum SAT score of 1130 (critical reading + math). Renewable for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. Recipients must live on campus unless married or single with dependents.

Vice President's Scholarship - $32,000

$8,000 per year. Awarded to entering first-time freshmen students with a minimum ACT composite score of 28 or a minimum SAT score of 1260 (critical reading + math). Renewable for up to eight consecutive fall and spring semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or above. Recipients must live on campus unless married or single with dependents.

Freshman Honor Scholarship - $16,000

$4,000 per year. Awarded to entering first-time freshmen students with a minimum ACT composite score of 25 or a minimum SAT score of 1130 (critical reading + math) or students ranking in the top 10% of their graduating class. Renewable for up to eight consecutive semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above.

Transfer Honor Scholarship - $6,000

$2,000 per year. Awarded to entering transfer students with a minimum of 24 transferable hours from a regionally accredited college and a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average or members of a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Renewable for up to six consecutive semesters based on a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or above. Award may be limited to the first 50 qualifying students.

All Scholarship Recipients Must Meet the Following Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited high school if award is based on class rank.
  • Maintain full time status of 12 or more hours each fall and spring semester.
  • Final official Academic Transcripts must be in the student's admission file by July 1 for the fall semester or November 1 for the spring semester.
  • Academic Scholarships listed above are limited to one per student.
  • Scholarship criteria are subject to change each year.
