Special Interest
Purpose: To stimulate interest in theater activities at UMHB, to provide support for the theater department, and to secure for the University all the advantages and mutual helpfulness provided by a large national honorary Fraternity.
Purpose: To further education as a service and as a profession through support of public schools; to promote activities, services, and training for educators; and to develop and maintain high standards of professional ethics among all professional educators.
Purpose: The purpose of the organization shall be to offer opportunities for Accounting, Economics, and Finance students to interact and explore career opportunities with students and professionals in the field of accounting, economics, and finance, and to perform community service projects related to these fields.
Requirements: Declared major or minor in accounting, economics, or finance.
Purpose: To provide Christian fellowship and Christian opportunities for students considering full time church-related vocation; to be an additional Christian voice for matters influencing the Christian life; and to provide on-the-job training in local churches for those who desire such.
Purpose: To achieve a better utilization of human ability and potential business, industry and government.
Requirements: You must be a student in one of the following majors: information technology, graphic design, mass communications and art, and also in good standing with the University
Purpose: To recognize outstanding attainments in the study of Hebrew language and literature, to stimulate study and research in the field, and to promote an understanding and appreciation of the culture of Isreal.
Requirements: Membership in this society shall be based upon scholarship. Undergraduates must have completed at least 12 credits of Hebrew with a 3.0 grade point average. They must rank not lower than the highest 35% of their class in general scholarship and shall have completed at least three semesters or five wuarters of college course. Graduate students are chosen from among those with at least a 3.5 average in Hebrew.
Purpose: To promote leadership for those students in mathematics, being a member of a nationally accredited math society.
Requirements: Enrolled UMHB student who has completed 3 math classes and received a 3.0 math average in each class. Must have a cumulative 3.2 GPA.
Purpose: To promote art interest among college students; to bring art departments of various colleges together through activities; to stimulate higher scholarship; to recognize potential and professional ability; and to promote fellowship among campus and local artists.
Requirements: Students should have completed two courses in the art department with an average of 85 or higher; or hold a position as the art editor on a college publication.
Purpose: To allow students to assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education, to provide programs that represent fundamentals of current professional interests and concerns, and to aid in the development of the student as a whole in his\her professional role in of health care.
Purpose: To encourage the study of social sciences and to recognize outstanding achievement through election to membership and the presentation of achievement awards.
Requirements: Junior, Senior, or Graduate with a 2.9 GPA and 20 hours of social sciences.
Purpose: To promote excellence and professional development in the area of physical education and health.
Purpose: To provide and promote a superior level of sport medicine for Crusader Athletics. This organization exists to develop outstanding leadership experiences to students in the Sport Medicine program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Purpose: To encourage and recognize scholastic excellence in professional management, and to promote cooperation between the academic and practical aspects of management.
Requirements: Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must be a business major with accredited Junior hours. Must have taken two management classes.
Purpose: To offer an opportunity for students of chemistry, chemical engineering, and any related discipline to become better acquainted, to secure the intellectual stimulation that arises from professional association.
Purpose: To promote the mastery of written expression, encouraging worthwhile reading and fostering a spirit of fellowship among men and women specializing in English. This purpose shall include the stimulation of a desire on the part of our members to seek to express life in terms of truth and beauty to make first hand acquaintance with the chief literary masterpieces of our language.
Requirements: Must be majoring or minoring in English, must have taken at least two courses of English at UMHB, have a 3.0 in English, a 3.2 overall, and have completed at least 3 semesters of course work.
Purpose: To assist the community professionals in providing social work services to the general public; to educate the university about the social profession; to provide associated services for our campus; and to be available to the surrounding communities and campus in case of an emergency situation.
Requirements: Must be a Social Work major and have 12 hours of enrollment with UMHB.
Purpose: To provide a student spirit organization at all UMHB athletic events
Requirements: Be dubbed Crusader forever!
Purpose: The purpose of the Sader Belle drill team is to promote spirit and sportsmanship at school functions and to serve as a performing group representing the University.
Requirements: Students trying out for the team must be skilled in many areas of dance including flexibility, memory of a routine, having a "performing personality", high kicks, turns, leaps, and toe touches.
Purpose: The purpose of Ultimate Cru is to provide a sportsman-like and competitive atmosphere while having playing ultimate.
Requirements: male wanting to play ultimate or female wanting to play co-ed ultimate
Purpose: To fulfill the desire of those students at UMHB who want to learn and play Lacrosse.
Requirements: the desire to play lacrosse. No experience is necessary.
Purpose: To provide positive role models and mentors to the youth of the community schools, and also to allow students of this university the chance to give back to the community in which they live.
Requirements: background check with BISD, spend 4-6 hours with students
Purpose: To assist Habitat for Humanity by working with any local affiliate or with Habitat's international headquarters in order to work in partnership to improve the conditions in which people live.
Requirements: Willing to serve and volunteer to help a family in need of a decent place to live.
Purpose: An honor society that recognizes students who exhibit superb character and scholarship and provide them with opportunities to interact with Alpha Chi's membership from other universities in competition and convocation.
Requirements: Excellent Character, Outstanding scholarship - 3.6 + grade point average with at least thirty hours at UMHB, Junior or Senior rank, invitation by the sponsors.
Purpose: To function as a society for students with an interest in biological sciences.
Requirements: major or minor in Biology, minimum 12 hours in biology, minimum 3.0 GPA, good academic standing at the university in accordance with the UMHB handbook.
Purpose: Tau Epsilon is the UMHB chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the international honor society of nursing, is a professional organization composed of students, faculty, and nursing professionals in the community. The purposes of th society are to: (1) recognize superios achievement; (2) recognize the development of leadership qualities; (3) foster high professional standards; (4) encourage creataive work; (5) strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession.
Purpose: to provide a fellowship for freshman students while raising funds and planning the UMHB Formal
Requirements: must apply and be selected by the FYC leaders
Purpose: To promote leadership through service to others.
Requirements: Must rank in the top 20% of class, must be in "good standing" with the university.
Purpose: To provide a voice for on-campus students to the administration and to the Student Government Association, and to assist in providing a positive living environment within the residence hall system.
Requirements: Be a part of the House Council within one of the on campus residential facilities.
Purpose: To edify the Body of Christ while serving the UMHB student.
Requirements: An application must be filled out with a specific number of signatures followed by a vote and/or interview process.
Purpose: To involve students in community awareness with the university. To educate student members in the advancement of UMHB. To plan and implement student involvement in advancement projects.
Requirements: Must be invited to join and either a freshman or sophomore.
Purpose: An organization of students chosen to uphold the heritage, traditions, and values of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Student Ambassadors are dedicated to the service of the University and act as hosts and hostesses of the Board of Trustees, the President, and the Vice President of Student Affairs. Student Ambassadors serve as official assistants by hosting special events as requested and be serving as escorts, special assistants, and ambassadors of good will both on and off the campus.

Purpose: Identify and serve the unique needs of students engaged in higher learning here at UMHB: evangelize, disciple and equip students for responding to God's call for effective Christian living.
Purpose: To foster the spiritual, intellectual and social interests of the Catholic Students at Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Purpose: to glorify God through dance
Requirements: Any woman who wants to glorify God through dance, and is willing to work with others
Purpose: To present athletes and coaches, and all of which they influence, the challenge and adventure of living and loving as Christ portrayed in his life.
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for students of any denominational preference to worship and praise God in an environment of love and acceptance.
Purpose: To equip all women with the desire to divinely encounter, passionately love, and willingly obey Jesus Christ through growth, accountability and service.
Purpose: is the campus component of an international professional organization and ministry of and for nurses and nursing students. NCF seeks to bring the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to nursing. It is the desire and practice of the members to know God in a deep, personal way through Bible study and prayer. Groups meet on a regular basis for study, prayer, and to learn skills for spiritual assessment and caregiving.

Purpose: The Bell's mission statement is to represent the voice of the UMHB community, adhere to the institution's standards and ultimately, to God. The Bells stives to serve the campus and community through reporting fair, accurate and relevant news.
Requirements: Interests in writing, photography or design.
Purpose: To assist in planning, promoting and organizing campus activities.
Purpose: To involve students in hands-on experience with the political process, to educate the university about the principles of the Democratic party, to assist local politicians with their political campaigns, and to promote the importance of exercising one's right to vote as an American citizen.

Purpose: To provide fellowship for international students, assist internationals in adjusting to American Culture, and to provide an organization that can help internationals deal with problems and opportunities presented by being in the U.S.
Purpose: To minister to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those seeking to know Jesus Christ, by providing and avenue by which believers can enter unto His courts with thanksgiving, praise and song. This Choir will inspire and uplift members of the campus community and abroad through the ministry of music.

Purpose: To provide a bipartisan political environment for discussion and development of Student opinions and involvement.
Purpose: To make known and promote the principles of the Republican Party among students at UMHB, to aid in the election of Republican candidates at al levels of government, and to develop political skills and leadership abilities among Republican students as preparation for future service by them to the party and community.
