UMHB has everything you need to stay or become the fit and healthy person you want to be or ought to be! The Mayborn Campus Center is home to the Brentham Fitness Center, Mabee-Farris Recreation Gym, and Barbara Cheney Natatorium (that's the indoor pool). During regular operating hours, you are welcome to lift weights, work out on the cardio equipment or lap swim at your convenience. Cru-Fit Fitness classes, as well as the swimming pool, have a set schedule. Check the control desk or our intranet website each semester for specific times and days.

  • FREE workshops on proper weight lifting techniques with separate classes for men and women.
  • Personal Training sessions are sold as single sessions or as packages. See our Campus Recreation intranet site or ask the control desk for more info.

  • Wellness Wednesdays: Free, informative, fun, and healthy presentations given by experts in their field.
  • Fitness/Rec Challenges: Each year Campus Rec will sponsor one or more Campus-Wide promotions designed to get people involved and increase participation in Campus Rec opportunities. Students accumulate personal participation points and ultimately win incredible prizes.
