Gohlke Voice Recital

Belton, Texas - The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor College of Visual and Performing Arts will present soprano Meg Gohlke in recital on Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Hughes Recital Hall located in Presser Hall. She will be accompanied by pianist Matthew Crosby, assistant professor of music. The recital will be free and open to the public and will feature songs and arias by Handel, Mozart, Faure, Duparc, Tosti, Schubert, and Hageman.

A junior music education major, Gohlke is the daughter of Anthony and Christine Gohlke of Port Lavaca. She is a member of One Voice, Chamber Singers, and Concert Choir and serves as secretary in the UMHB student chapter of Music Educators National Conference. She was honored as Outstanding Performer of the 2008 Barclay Music competition and first place winner in the junior women divisions of South Texas National Association of Teachers of Singing competition. Gohlke is the voice student of Lisa Clement, associate professor of music at UMHB.
