Belton, Texas –Michelle Tucker, a senior social work major at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, has been elected to serve a one year term as the Baccalaureate Social Work (BSW) Student Representative to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Social Workers, Texas Chapter (NASW/TX).
Tucker of Harker Heights, was elected to the board on a statewide election ballot and will begin her term in July. As the BSW Representative to the NASW/TX Board of Directors, Tucker will represent the concerns and interests of BSW students across the state of Texas.
Tucker also currently serves as one of two senior BSW students on the UMHB Social Work Advisory Board for the UMHB Social Work Program. She will be completing her social work field internship with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Evaluation Services (CAPES) at Darnall Army Community Hospital on Ft. Hood.
