Welcome Week at UMHB features a variety of academic, physical, spiritual and social activities for new students and is scheduled the week prior to the fall semester. The activities and programs are designed to help transfer students become acquainted with this campus and to help the first time freshman make a successful transition to college life. On average, 150 upperclassmen work as staff members or as leaders of small groups called Family Groups. New students are assigned to Family Groups which are led by UMHB upperclassmen. These groups stay together throughout the week and attend seminars, hear special guest speakers, participate in small group discussions and a lot more!

This year's Welcome Week is scheduled to begin Saturday, August 23. Classes begin on Wednesday, August 27, and that evening will be the final wrap-up for the week's events.
