Gary Smith

Mr. Smith holds undergraduate degrees from Williams Baptist University and East Texas Baptist University. He earned a Master's in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary and a Master's in Spanish/Applied Linguistics/Higher Education from Texas Tech. He has served in various church ministry positions in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. For many years he was the Director for Latin America for a small missions organization. Tasks included church planting, leadership training, prison ministry, outreaches to Central American gang members, and humanitarian aid. Prior to teaching at UMHB, Gary taught at Texas Tech and Angelo State University.
