Originally from Baytown, TX, Dr. Jason Martin serves as the Clinical Director for Community Life Counseling (CLC), the clinical training center of the Master of Arts in Counseling Program. He previously served as the Director of Education and Training and clinical staff member at the Krist Samaritan Center in Houston, TX. He earned his Ph.D. in Family and Child Ecology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Michigan State University (2006). He earned his Master of Marriage and Family Therapy (2002) and Bachelor of Arts (1999) from Abilene Christian University.

Dr. Martin is a Texas Board Approved Supervisor for both Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT). He has served for 4 years on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT) and was elected President of TAMFT in 2020. His wife, Kari, is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Artcobell in Temple, TX. They have two children, Aidan and Regan, and they attend The Vine Church in Temple, TX where Dr. Martin has served as an elder and youth leader. He also enjoys performing in plays and musicals, cycling, playing board games, and rooting for the Houston Astros.
