Rebecca Scoggin McEntee teaches journalism and photojournalism in the Communications and Media Studies Department at the University of Mary Harden-Baylor. Before returning to the University of Texas for a Ph.D. in Journalism, Rebecca practiced journalism at the Austin American-Statesman for twenty years as a staff photographer and photo editor. Her career prior to the Statesman included photography, videography, writing, editing, and television news reporting with a variety of media. Because of her visual work and editing experience during the Iraq War, as well as early exposure to the Stars and Stripes overseas as an Air Force Brat, her research has focused on the presentation and editing of war imagery.
