UMHB Music Festival

The next UMHB Music Festival will be held in May 2019. This festival will take place on the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor campus in the Sue & Frank Mayborn Performing Arts Center in Baugh Performance Hall.

Each ensemble will receive:

• comments from the panel of three or four adjudicators (no rating unless requested),
• a recording (available for instrumental ensembles only), and
• will be awarded a participation trophy.

The judging panel will consist of music educators who have taught on all levels. Their only goal will be to aid you in getting feedback to improve your ensemble.

After your ensemble performs, one of the three or four judges will clinic the ensemble while they remain on stage. This judge will not have been writing comments, only listening and making notes to use in speaking to your ensemble so he can be focused on helping your ensemble.

Each ensemble will warm-up, perform, and receive their clinic all in one location (Baugh Performance Hall).

All performances will be open to the general public.
