Important Internships in Software Engineering
When Jessica Livingston completed her BS in Computer Science in 2017, she knew exactly where she would be headed next. “The internship hours required for my degree were a big help in preparing for my first job,” she recalls. “As a student, I was hired to be an intern at Integrity, a local software development company that specializes in electronic medical records for ophthalmologists and optometrists. When my degree was complete, they offered me a fulltime job as a software developer.” The internship provided the perfect finish to her UMHB experience. “I really enjoyed my time at UMHB,” she says. “All of the people there were so willing and ready to help with whatever I needed. I wouldn’t have wanted to go to any other school.”
