Master of Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant
The Master of Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will prepare compassionate, highly skilled anesthesia professionals through rigorous academic study, immersive simulation, and hands-on clinical training where students are shaped into leaders dedicated to excellence and safety in patient care.
Applications for the inaugural cohort, beginning January 2027, opened March 10, 2026 and will close on August 1, 2026.
The Anesthesiologist Assistant program will provide foundational, integrative and applicative approaches allowing full preparation for real-world workforce experiences with an original scientific and evidence-based research curriculum.
Dedicated faculty and clinical preceptors will teach the curriculum over a course of seven contiguous semesters encompassing didactic, simulation and complete clinical education experiences. This program will prepare future Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) educational domains. The Anesthesiologist Assistant program provides students with exceptional educational resources and experiences at the stunning campus and facilities located in Belton, TX.

- The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Master of Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant (MSAA) program is currently in the process of pursuing accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and the Accreditation Review Committee for the Anesthesiologist Assistant (ARC-AA).
