Dr. Mindy Welch is currently an associate professor of marketing and management in the McLane College of Business, where she teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Dr. Welch joined UMHB as full-time faculty member in the fall of 2011. She is an alumnus of UMHB with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. Dr. Welch came to UMHB after having worked in the areas of advertising, social media, and marketing research in the central Texas area. She holds a Project Management Professional Certification from the Project Management Institute. Dr. Welch received her Doctorate of Business Administration in Marketing from Walden University in 2012. Dr. Welch has a deep commitment to Christ, her family, and central Texas. Her father retired from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service at Ft. Hood. She has two children, Bailey and Porter, who have grown up in the Belton community. As an active member of Belton Church of Christ, she and her children love volunteering to support local charities that further the mission of the Christian community. Dr. Welch and her children have volunteered for Feed My Sheep, Hope for the Hungry, Meals on Wheels, and many other church-supported ministries.
