Welcome
Welcome! I am glad you have come to learn more about the Master of Science in Exercise Physiology program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
The School of Exercise and Sport Science, housed in the Mayborn
College of Health Sciences, offers a master’s degree in Exercise
Physiology that prepares students for careers in the fields of strength
and conditioning, clinical exercise physiology, sports medicine, the
performance industry, and research. Students can get a variety of
experiences to improve their professional preparation through
certification preparation in their respective field and can be prepared
for continued pursuit of higher degrees through Ph.D. and professional
school programs.
As program director my goal is to tailor the graduate program experience to each students professional and educational goals during the advising process to put them in position to succeed professionally or in pursuit of an advanced degree. This is done by taking a very individualized approach during advising to ensure they are pursuing the correct certifications, are seeking out the best internships, are gaining hands on experience with other groups on campus or in the Human Performance Lab, and conducting scholarly activity. We have excellent faculty, classroom and laboratory space to facilitate this education and experience in the program.
I welcome you to come see what we have to offer in our program, in the School of Exercise and Sport Science, at UMHB and to pursue a graduate degree in the field of exercise physiology.
Sincerely,
Lem Taylor, Ph.D.
Professor and Graduate Program Director, School of Exercise & Sport Science
