The Evolution of Black Music in America
Mr. Bobby Johnson, UMHB Alum
American History is celebrated through the eyes of many different cultures and these cultures celebrate in very similar ways. One of these ways is through music.
Musical styles in Black and African American cultures have created genres that impact the entire world. We will share some of the artists and their stories and demonstrate the evolution of their music in America.
Mr. Bobby Johnson is a graduate of UMHB and is inspired by the music of Mr. Thomas Dorsey.
